Two were arrested after authorities took custody of two children and 14 dogs in the Greenville drug bust

GREENVILLE, Texas (KLTV) – Investigators seized 1.5kg of cocaine and 750 fentanyl pills in a drug raid that led to CPS taking custody of two children.

According to the Hunt County Sheriff's Office, authorities executed a narcotics-related search warrant Wednesday at a residence in the 2400 block of Hillcrest Avenue in Greenville. According to investigators, the house was used to sell narcotics.

During the search, authorities said they believed they found 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, 750 fentanyl pills, hydrocodone pills, Xanax pills, marijuana, six firearms, a stolen firearm, cash and materials used to package the drugs.

Child Protective Services was called to take custody of two children, and the Texas SPCA took 14 dogs that appeared to be part of an unlicensed breeding operation.

Charles William Bryant, 34, and Jaida Kaye Bridgewater, 25, were arrested and charged with two counts each of endangering a child and two counts of manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance. Bail was set at $825,000 for each.
