Woman faces drug charges after Ecstasy was allegedly found during booking in Seneca County

A Geneva resident has been charged with drug possession after authorities reportedly discovered suspected Ecstasy while she was being taken to the Seneca County Correctional Facility for an unrelated arrest.

According to Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson, Maryagnes S. Thorpe was arrested around noon on September 26 and charged with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance. During booking, officers found a quantity of the suspected drug.

The Sheriff's Office Corrections Division assisted in the arrest. Thorpe was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Romulus City Court at a later date.
