Man accused of attacking 2 Pitt students, 2 people near CMU charged with additional assault – WPXI

PITTSBURGH — A man accused of attacking two students at Pitt and attempting to attack two people near CMU is now facing new charges in a third separate incident.

According to police, on Aug. 29, Jarret Buba, 52, of Oakland, approached a Point Park student as he was jogging in the Strip District and hit him with a bag of glass.

That same week, two Pitt students were reportedly attacked outside the Cathedral of Learning. He was arrested after this attack.

Police said he hit the two students with a bottle.

Shortly after this arrest, Buba was charged with throwing a bottle at two people at Carnegie Mellon University.

In total, Buba now faces seven different assault charges related to these incidents.
