A security guard's gun accidentally fired at a Wisconsin Lutheran High School football game on Sept. 27, the principal confirmed to WISN 12. Milwaukee police said the guard's gun accidentally fired into his left thigh. No one else was injured. WISN 12 News was at the game when the gun went off. Spectators, players and coaches all fled the area when the shot was heard. Wisconsin Lutheran High School Principal Landon Zacharyasz said the guard was taken to a hospital in an ambulance in Wauwatosa. The severity of the security officer's injury was unclear Friday evening. Zacharyasz also said the game against Milwaukee Lutheran High School was canceled due to the incident.
