The breakthrough was thanks in part to Angelina Jolie, who withdrew her Freedom of Information Act request. This reportedly paved the way for Brad Pitt to put the divorce behind him and potentially spend the rest of his life with Ines de Ramon.

Angelina Jolie reported in her filing that there were some violent altercations between her, Brad Pitt and their children aboard their private plane in 2016. According to Jolie, Pitt physically abused her and her children.
