The Drug Task Force arrests three people while executing a drug search warrant in Crestview

CRESTVIEW, Fla. (WALA) – Three people are facing charges after authorities executed a narcotics search warrant in Crestview.

Officials said members of the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office Multi-Agency Drug Task Force seized fentanyl, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia during a search of a home in the 600 block of Lee Avenue in Crestview.

According to the sheriff's office, those arrested and their charges include:

  • Lonnie Ray Ward, 58, trafficking in fentanyl, possession of drug equipment
  • Ashley Woody, 33, resisting the execution of a search warrant
  • Kenneth Nelson, 37, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug equipment

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office Multi-Agency Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, Crestview Police Department, Fort Walton Beach Police Department and Niceville Police Department.
