(The GreenRoom) Brooks & Dunn join forces with multi-platinum GRAMMY Award-winning artist Lainey Wilson for an electrifying reimagining of her 2005 #1 hit “Play Something Country.” The driving country anthem highlights Brooks & Dunn and Wilson's signature blend of honky-tonk style and country-rock sound. “Play Something Country” is the first release from the upcoming REBOOT II, out November 15th via Sony Music Nashville.

“Lainey was one of the first artists to go into the studio with us for this project,” said Kix Brooks. “She was on fire from head to toe, bell bottoms and all, adding that Louisiana swagger like only she could. That was fun!”

“I don’t know anyone in this city, in this generation of country music, who could say that these guys don’t have an impact on what they do,” Wilson says. “They were the soundtrack of my childhood, so I was thrilled.” Make some magic with them.

Far from a tribute album, REBOOT II pays homage to the enduring influence and versatility of Brooks & Dunn and shows how their music continues to resonate with contemporary artists and generations. The follow-up to their acclaimed 2019 collaborative project, REBOOT II, follows the format of reimagined B&D classics – only this time a brand new group of today's most dedicated artists have been given maximum creative freedom. In addition to Wilson, the album features contributions from Morgan Wallen, Marcus King Band, Megan Moroney, Warren Zeiders, Jelly Roll, Riley Green, The Cadillac Three, Halestorm, Mitchell Tenpenny, The Earls of Leicester, Jake Worthington, Hailey Whitters and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, HARDY, ERNEST, A Thousand Horses and Corey Kent.

With styles ranging from progressive country and classic bluegrass to heavy metal, orchestral pop and beyond, the structure of the songs that most country fans know by heart has changed. Whether it was '90s grunge, '70s-style studio rock, or swampy soul, the duo encouraged every artist to abandon their repertoire. REBOOT II's 18 tracks include reimagined hits such as “Neon Moon,” “Boot Scootin' Boogie” and “Believe,” resulting in a dynamic and diverse collection that spans genres and generations. Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn are now more than thirty years into their careers and long ago settled on their generation-defining sound and style. As the best-selling duo of all time, their yin-and-yang country-rock blend has earned them 20 number one hits – plenty of material to fill stadium-rocking setlists. And with a Grammy-winning, groundbreaking catalog largely written by themselves, they could rest assured that they have undoubtedly left a lasting mark on the American songbook. Brooks & Dunn continue to break records, boasting the longest-running country music residency in Las Vegas and crisscrossing North America on their sold-out tours year after year. They recently announced the dates for the first leg of their NEON MOON TOUR in 2025
