A pedestrian is killed in a crash in north Phoenix

The accident occurred just before 11 p.m. Friday evening near Cave Creek and Bell roads.

PHOENIX – A man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle in north Phoenix, city police said.

The accident reportedly occurred north of Cave Creek and Bell roads just before 11 p.m. Friday evening.

When Phoenix police officers arrived at the scene, they found an adult male with serious injuries. First responders took the man to the hospital, where he later died.

The driver involved in the accident remained on scene. Investigators are still working to learn more about what led to the collision, but do not believe impairment was a cause of the accident.

The police have currently not released any information about the man's identity.
