🚨 Cole Palmer cements his legendary PL status with historic goal performance 🥶

Once again Chelsea will appreciate the fact that they have history maker Cole Palmer in their squad.

And after Manchester City drew with Newcastle the previous Saturday, they will be resentful of letting him go.

As he has done all season, the Englishman is holding the reins at Stamford Bridge against Brighton to initiate a comeback.

Palmer hit the post early in the first half and had a goal ruled out for offside before he finally found the ball with a stunning hat-trick within 10 minutes.

The 22-year-old raced into the box late on and slammed into the empty net, scoring a penalty and then securing a first-half hat-trick with a stunning left-footed free-kick from 25 yards out.

It ranks as his third Premier League hat-trick, the most by any Chelsea player. But then he went one better.

Palmer scored an impressive fourth goal of the first half after firing home from the penalty area at the near post. He is the first Premier League player to achieve such a feat.

To make matters even better, Palmer has also scored more goals than appearances for the Blues in England's top flight.

What a signing!
