Meerut: A five year old Boy was allegedly raped multiple times by two men Hapur The crime came to light on September 19 after the local police registered a case on the complaint of the child's grandfather. A video clip allegedly showing the survivor being mistreated by the perpetrators was also shared online, police said.
Hapur city district collector Jitendra Sharma told TOI, “The accused – Arsh, Junaid, Mobin and Shamim (only first names are available in FIR) – hail from the same locality. Following a complaint lodged by the boy's family, the police have lodged an FIR under BNS sections 140-4 (kidnapping), 351-2 (criminal intimidation) and 352 (intentional insult) and sections 5(m) and 6 (aggravated sexual assault) of the Pocso Act against the four accused.
The CO added: “The boy’s statement was recorded in which he stated that he was brutally abused. All four accused are absconding and efforts are on to arrest them.”
In his complaint at Babugarh police station, the boy's grandfather said, “On September 19, around 3 am, Junaid lured my five-year-old grandson from home and took him to a secluded place where he raped him. Others also joined him. Two other men who passed by filmed the act and later uploaded the clip to social media. When the child's condition worsened and he felt unbearable pain, he told me about his ordeal.
The boy's family further mentioned that when she went to the defendant's house to confront him about the crime, she was “mistreated and threatened with terrible consequences” by him. Police are also trying to find out whether there has been any hostility between the families in the past.
