Warrensburg teen killed, three other passengers injured in rural Missouri crash

CHILHOWEE, Mo. (KCTV) – Three teens were injured and one was killed in a crash east of Chilhowee, Missouri, on Friday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the accident on September 27th just before 9 p.m.

Four teenagers, ages 17 to 19, were driving south on SW 271st Road when the driver lost control of his 2004 Dodge truck on a curve. The truck left the road, went into a ditch, overturned and hit a fence.

The driver, 18-year-old Turner R. George of Warrensburg, Missouri, was pronounced dead at 11 p.m. and next of kin have been notified.

The other three passengers in the truck suffered minor injuries but refused treatment.

MSHP said the 17-year-old passenger was wearing a seatbelt, but the driver and two other passengers were not.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Department assisted with the crash.
