Man charged with attempted murder in Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (CBS12) — A man has been accused of repeatedly violently attacking and stabbing another person in Hollywood.

The Hollywood Police Department (HPD) said it responded to the 1300 block of South Federal Highway in Hollywood at approximately 3:42 a.m. on September 12 and assisted the victim.

Through surveillance footage, investigators identified 42-year-old Chason Williams as the suspect.

Williams was arrested Sept. 26 and charged with attempted first-degree murder.

The victim has been released from the hospital but still has a long road to recovery, HPD said.
