School bus aide arrested for alleged sex crimes against students with disabilities in Virginia

VIRGINIA – The Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office has arrested a school bus aide for alleged sexual offenses in Spotsylvania, Virginia.

The suspect is 22-year-old Miguel Velasquez Velasco of Fredericksburg. Velascoon was arrested on the evening of September 26th.

School authorities alerted police after suspected inappropriate touching of a student on a school bus. Through an investigation, it was determined that Velasquez Velasco assaulted three different children on the school bus on September 26th. The victims are aged between four and five years and are students with disabilities.

Velasquez Velasco was arrested and charged with eight counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, two counts of indecent confinement of a child while acting as a guardian, and one count of attempted sodomy of a child. He is being held without bond.

This remains an ongoing investigation.
