Reaction: Badgers quarterback Braedyn Locke's big touchdown pass against USC

Wisconsin and No. 13 USC are tied 7-7 at the end of the first quarter.

The frame was fiercely contested. USC began the game with an explosive touchdown drive, capped by a 32-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Miller Moss to wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane. Wisconsin responded quickly with a 4-play, 75-yard touchdown drive. The exclamation point: a 63-yard touchdown pass from QB Braedyn Locke to WR Vinny Anthony.

These results were an outstanding start to the game. Since then, defenses have settled in, forcing opposing punts and blocked drives. Wisconsin's defensive highlight so far is an interception by safety Preston Zachman.

Badgers fans are rightfully focused on Locke's play at the helm of Phil Longo's offense. They were predictably excited when Locke connected with Anthony for one of the program's most explosive touchdown plays in years.

Wisconsin hasn't seen many of these in recent years

Again, it's not necessarily on brand

Locke's celebration needs work
