Texas couple arrested after 5-year-old found unresponsive in home

TEXARKANA, Texas (KWTX) – A couple was arrested in Texas on Saturday after their 5-year-old son was found lifeless in an apartment.

Texarkana police say Terry Robinson, 35, is charged with murder and Destiny Culvahouse, 24, is charged with assault on a child resulting in serious bodily injury or death.

On Sept. 27 around 2 p.m., police say they received a call about a child not breathing in an apartment in the 3300 block of Nichols Drive.

When authorities arrived, officers said they found a 5-year-old boy unresponsive and immediately began performing CPR.

The boy was taken to the hospital and died shortly afterwards, according to police.

The child's parents are being held at the Bi-State Justice Center. No bail has been agreed for either parent in the incident.
