Woman seriously injured flown to hospital after T-bone crash that injured two others in Huntley

A woman was critically injured and flown to the hospital after a T-bone crash that injured two others Saturday morning in Huntley, authorities said.

The Huntley Police Department and Huntley Fire Protection District responded to the area of ​​Route 47 and Del Webb Boulevard around 10:50 a.m. Saturday for a vehicle accident involving injuries.

Officers arrived and reported an unresponsive person at the scene.

According to Huntley Fire Protection District battalion chief Brian Harders, firefighters arrived within three minutes and found two affected vehicles with moderate damage.

Harders said the accident was a T-bone collision. Three ambulances, including one from Hampshire, were called to the scene.

Three adult victims were transported by ambulance to Northwestern Medicine Hospital in Huntley.

A LifeNet rescue helicopter was called and met one of the ambulances at the hospital's helipad.

Harders said the unresponsive victim, an adult female, was taken to the helicopter.

She suffered serious injuries, while the other two victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The helicopter flew the woman to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, a Level 1 trauma center, Harders said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by Huntley Police.
