Georgia vs. Alabama football injury report

TUSCALOOSA — The Georgia Bulldogs had an off Saturday in Week 4 thanks to their first bye week of the season. The Bulldogs hope to prove the short break was worth it Saturday night when they play one of the biggest games of the college football season.

No. 2 Georgia (3-0, 1-0 SEC) will face No. 4 Alabama (3-0, 0-0 SEC) in a showdown at 7:30 p.m. ET, televised and streamed by ABC fuboTV. Both teams enter the off-bye weeks, with Georgia defeating Kentucky 13-12 in Week 3 and Alabama taking on Wisconsin 42-10. Both the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide were the away teams in these wins.

“We need to have a great week of preparation. They have a great team,” Kirby Smart said Monday. “Nothing but respect for Kalen DeBoer and what he has done with this team and this staff. I think he's done a great job of putting them in a position to grow and get better, and they've gotten better every game. We need that” to do the same this week.

A new era begins in Tuscaloosa after Nick Saban's retirement, but DeBoer continued Saban's success story early on. The former Washington head coach has hit the ground running with the Crimson Tide, and while it hasn't been a perfect start to the season, the team is 3-0 entering its first conference game of the year.

Georgia is hoping to turn the tide in this rivalry now that Alabama has a new head coach calling the shots. Smart had a 1-5 record against Saban, with the only win coming in the 2022 CFP national title game. Alabama won their last meeting in the SEC title game 27-24 in December, effectively knocking the Bulldogs out of playoff contention.

The Bulldogs have been trying to get healthy over the past few weeks leading up to tonight's game. Find out who will be available here.
