JD Vance speaks about the drug crisis during a community event in Monroeville – WPXI

MONROEVILLE, Pa. – Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance visited Allegheny County to speak at a town hall event.

Vance was the featured guest at the Courage Tour stop of the Lance Wallnau Show at the Monroeville Convention Center.

A crowd of hundreds attended the event.

One of his main topics of discussion was drug addiction and recovery.

He says tackling the fentanyl crisis is key to reducing overdose deaths.

“Something that's taking away those second chances is all the fentanyl coming into our country,” Vance said.

He also said that combating illegal immigration would reduce the amount of illegal drugs in the country.

Vance will debate Gov. Tim Walz on Tuesday.
