Shots were fired on the Buffalo State campus overnight

University police have launched an investigation into the incident and will conduct targeted patrols for the remainder of the weekend.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — No injuries were reported after shots were fired on the Buffalo State University campus overnight.

According to a press release from Buffalo State, the incident occurred at 1:56 a.m. Saturday.

“Two individuals chased two other individuals on property R-15 near Rees Street and fired firearms,” the school said.

The two individuals being pursued fled the campus and the two suspects left the scene in a vehicle. No injuries were reported.

“None of those involved have come forward to speak to police,” Buffalo State said. “The suspects are two black males, both wearing black pants and black hoodies.”

University police have launched an investigation into the incident and will conduct targeted patrols for the remainder of the weekend.
