Former President Trump waves to the crowd at Bryant-Denny Stadium as Alabama takes on Georgia

Fans at Bryant-Denny Stadium greeted former President Donald Trump with chants and cheers as he appeared in Tuscaloosa for the highly anticipated game between Alabama and Georgia.Trump, along with notable faces like Kid Rock and John Daly, as well as Alabama Sens. Tommy Tuberville and Katie Britt beamed as he waved to the crowd from his box seat. The announcement of Trump's visit to Alabama came shortly after a second attempt on the former president's life. U.S. Secret Service agents were in Tuscaloosa a few days ago advancing the preparation of the area, which resulted in significant security changes for fans in the stadium. This was not a first for his Secret Service team. Trump previously attended the Tide's matchup with LSU. This game ended in a 46-41 win for the Tigers. Several fans said that wouldn't be the case Saturday night. “Come on, we're the Tide, it's DeBoer, we're going to win,” said UA student Will Burns. “We're going to win against UGA, we're going to win against Oklahoma, we're going to win against Auburn.” Watch the former president's performance at Bryant-Denny Stadium in the video player above. Many fans were excited to see Trump at Bryant-Denny Stadium. “It’s great,” Chase Clark said. “I mean, I saw him four years ago for LSU when he was here. That was pretty cool, but a lot less important than that. I mean, the security wasn't even close. Nothing was shut down.” Security lines were shoulder-to-shoulder for the entire 2.5 hours before kickoff due to the additional security measures in place for Trump's visit. Not everyone was thrilled to see the presidential candidate on campus. “How do we feel about this? How would we feel if Georgia won? That’s probably a better question because it’s a similar feeling,” Braden Vick said. “A lot of disappointment, a lot of bitterness on our part because this is one of the biggest games of the year and he enjoys that attention. He needs to try to make it his own glorified campaign event.” Vick is the president of the UA College Democrats, which staged an anti-Trump backdoor rally before the game.
