Merab Dvalishvili is embroiled in another altercation with UFC Paris fans as the next title fight is reportedly a “decided deal.”

New UFC bantamweight king Merab Dvalishvili was in attendance at Fight Night: Paris at Accor Arena last night, with the recently crowned 135-pound champion involved in another incident involving angry fans.

Merab Dvalishvili has made a habit of nearly coming to blows with UFC fans, just a week after his friend and teammate Aljamain Sterling criticized the fan base as “far too comfortable” professional fighters who talk nonsense.

Merab Dvalishvili was once again involved in an altercation with UFC fans in Paris

After seeing the sights of Paris during fight week, Merab Dvalishvili found himself front and center at last night's Fight Night card at the Accor Arena, and although “The Machine” himself wasn't in the contest, he almost got into one Fan to each other.

Video footage of the incident was shared on social media, showing Dvalishvili arguing with a fan at the arena barrier and throwing the allegedly offending visitor.

A member of Dvalishvili's staff then tried to throw a punch at the fan, with security having to intervene, while the Georgian champion tried to push past and intervene himself.

This is certainly not the first time that Dvalishvili has caused controversy over his handling of hecklers; He is known to have overcome not one but two hurdles to confront abusive fans in the past, one of which even required UFC matchmaker Hunter Campbell to pay his legal fees.

Last month, Dvalishvili and Sterling were involved in another heated confrontation with fans at UFC 306 at The Sphere; although this time a group of Sean O'Malley fans and including one of Suga's podcast co-hosts.

The incident led Sterling to condemn the UFC fanbase as “far too comfortable” professional fighters who talk nonsense.

“There was a time when your words had consequences,” Sterling ranted on MMA Today, sharing that there is a worrying trend of these types of altercations becoming more common among fans.

“Some people say I'm too soft, damn it… People have gotten way too comfortable with just being completely shitty and thinking there's nothing wrong with them being shitty. **…We're not in the arena where you can tweet about having paid money [to be there].

Merab Dvalishvili vs. Umar Nurmagomedov Reportedly “Agreed”

While Dvalishvili at least tried to fight last night in Paris, his first defense of the UFC bantamweight title is reportedly set to be completed in Las Vegas.

That's what veteran manager Ali Abdelaziz says, who just went to X and claimed, “Umar Nurmagomedov fights for the UFC bantamweight championship next.”

Ironically, Dvalishvili was also ordered to fight the undefeated Nurmagomedov by the very man he had just snatched the title from, Sean O'Malley.

“I heard O'Malley thinks he won the fight and is looking for a rematch,” Dvalishvili wrote in an X post tagging the former champion.

“If he wants it, he can have it. Let's play at the Garden on November 16th and then I'll still defend the title against whoever the UFC wants me to fight next. What do you think?”

“Operating on October 3rd,” Suga replied. “Fighted you with one hip and still beat you. Round 1, 3, 5. I am the champion. Fight against Umar.”
