While driving, the couple found themselves in a tense situation when a truck that was trying to enter from the right came dangerously close. Although they honked several times to warn the driver, their warning fell on deaf ears as the truck collided with their vehicle, causing significant damage.

“Today my wife and I were involved in a violent incident on Thanisandra Road at around 3.30pm. On the right a truck was pushing close. I honked a few times to warn him, but instead of backing up, he crashed into us, leaving a large dent in our car,” the post reads.

The incident occurred right outside the Sampigehalli police station, prompting the couple to seek help from nearby authorities, the social media post said. However, they were disappointed when officers informed them that the matter was a traffic issue and they could not help.

The truck driver did not cooperate and refused to accompany her to the traffic station. When the officers suggested to the couple to facilitate communication between the driver and them, they returned to find that the driver had disappeared.

Back at the traffic station, the couple explained their predicament to several officers, but they were told that the officer responsible for filing the report was unavailable. Hours passed without much progress, the post says.

Her main concern was not the damage to her car, but the fact that a reckless driver was left on the road. Unfortunately, the police response left them feeling unheard; They were asked why they did not call emergency services even though the incident occurred right outside a police station.

“They asked why we didn't call 112 even though the incident happened right in front of a police station,” the man wrote in his post.

When asked if they had the truck driver's contact information, the couple admitted they did not, although they did manage to take a photo of the truck. Unfortunately, the check of the vehicle registration document by the traffic police did not produce any results. The truck had a Maharashtra registration plate but the driver was reportedly a local, they said.

“They asked if we had the truck driver’s number, which we didn’t. I only managed to take a photo of the truck. When the traffic police checked the license plate, it was blank. No records at all on the vehicle. It was a truck with Maharashtra registration but the driver was a local,” the post said.

This incident highlights ongoing concerns about road safety and the effectiveness of police in dealing with such cases, leaving the couple with more questions than answers.
