Nosy neighbors can save your life. Or they can help you become more aware of your new running routine.

A new jogger recently went viral after posting a video of her concerned neighbor stopping her on her morning run, thinking she needed to escape danger.

Anna Grace Boswell shared the funny clip on TikTok, which shows her going for a jog and her neighbor Stanley immediately running after her to ask if she was safe.

Boswell, who had just signed up for a half marathon three weeks earlier, shared the footage from her front door security camera with the caption, “GACK, protect my neighbor at all costs.” He had no idea what I was running from, but was READY to help !”

The video has been viewed over 11 million times and received over 10,000 comments from viewers who were both pleased and confused by Stanley's concern.

“He asks himself, 'Should I run?' Read a popular comment.

“He knew the order immediately, but was also confused by the order,” says another.

A week after the video's release, Boswell filmed a video with Stanley himself, in which he answered some of the internet's most pressing questions.

“I was playing basketball and turned off my peripherals, it was like instant fight or flight,” Stanley said in the follow-up video. “Something just seemed wrong and I didn’t even realize she had full riding gear on.”

In an interview with People, Boswell shared that she was shocked when he approached her, “because in my eyes I looked very cool.”

“He definitely humbled me! But he's such a real guy. I knew his intentions were pure,” Boswell told the outlet.

As a woman traveling alone, Boswell said she is relieved to live in an area where she feels her neighbors are protecting her.

“The world needs more Stanleys!”

Although Stanley has since moved away and no longer lives across the street, Boswell says she will always consider him a neighbor.
