The UFC 307 pay-per-view fight card is getting closer and closer. The ESPN+ streaming PPV card takes place on Saturday, October 5th at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. In the main event, UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira will face Khalil Rountree Jr.

In the co-main event, UFC women's bantamweight titleholder Raquel Pennington puts her belt on the line against former champion Julianna Pena.

Also on the main card is a bantamweight bout between former UFC featherweight king Jose Aldo and Mario Bautista. Prior to those contests, two-time PFL lightweight tournament champion Kayla Harrison faces Ketlen Vieira in an important bantamweight bout.

Pereira (11-2) won the UFC light heavyweight title in his second fight at 205 pounds under the UFC banner. Former promoted middleweight champion Pereira increased his weight to 205 pounds after losing the 185-pound belt to the man he took it from, Israel Adesanya. The loss to Adesanya occurred in November 2022. In July 2023, Pereira made his UFC light heavyweight debut.

Pereira faced former UFC champion Jan Blachowicz in this match and won the fight via split decision. In November 2023 he fought for the vacant light heavyweight belt, beating former champ Jiri Prochazka in the second round.

Pereira's first title defense came in April 2024, when he knocked out another former UFC champion, Jamahal Hill, in the first round. His last title defense was a rematch with Prochazka. This fight also ended with a knockout in the second round.

Rountree (13-5-0-1) is the No. 7 ranked fighter in the official UFC light heavyweight rankings. He comes into UFC 307 having picked up a TKO victory over former title challenger Anthony Smith in December 2023. Rountree is on a five-fight winning streak with four knockouts and one decision during that time.

Pennington (16-8) first fought for the UFC women's bantamweight title in 2018. She lost that fight to Amanda Nunes by fifth-round knockout. Since that setback, Pennington, who joined the UFC in 2013, has compiled a record of 7-2. She is on a six-fight winning streak. Her sixth win of this run was her decision to win the title in January over Mayra Bueno Silva. The UFC women's bantamweight title was vacant at the time.

Pena (11-5) captured the UFC women's bantamweight belt in her ninth fight with the promotion and pulled off a huge upset by knocking out longtime champion Amanda Nunes in the second round of their December 2021 bout. The UFC gave Nunes an immediate rematch in July 2022. Nunes regained the title with a unanimous decision win in that matchup and then retired from the sport. Pena hasn't fought since that setback. Pena is the No. 1 fighter in the official UFC women's bantamweight rankings.

The final lineup for UFC 307 has not yet been determined. However, we know when the card starts and where it will air. The pay-per-view portion of UFC 307 begins at 10:00 p.m. ET on ESPN+ PPV.
