Man arrested after breaking into apartment and threatening owner

The Carroll Township Police Department arrested a man who reportedly broke into a home in Dillsburg and threatened the resident with a handgun. The York County home resident was awakened around 10 a.m. on Sept. 26 by 29-year-old Austin Stambaugh coming through a window. Stambaugh then pointed a gun at the victim's face and told him to leave the house, a statement said. The victim left the apartment and officers were called. Stambaugh was taken into custody without incident. Stambaugh is charged with terroristic threats and simple assault. Police say this was an isolated incident and there is no risk of harm to the public.
