Devin White — who did not travel with the Eagles — was selected for a drug test

Despite being inactive for the Week 4 game against the Buccaneers, Eagles linebacker Devin White was selected for random drug testing.

In addition to being inactive, White wasn't even with the Eagles in Tampa Bay after being ruled out for personal reasons earlier in the week. But he shared a screenshot of the performance-enhancing drug test request he received from an NFL official:

This is the fourth time in as many games with the Eagles that White has been inactive. It's unclear what his personal reasons were for not being with the Eagles this week, although there's no reason to believe he would have been on the 48-man roster on game day anyway.

Still, not getting a chance in this game is probably an added pain for the 26-year-old linebacker. The Buccaneers selected him No. 5 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft and he was a key defensive cog for the Tampa Bay team that defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV. He had to watch on TV as his former team beat his current team 33-16.

White got in trouble earlier in the day for retweeting a post about his former Tampa Bay teammate Lavonte David forcing a fumble against his current employer, the Eagles.

It kind of feels like White will never really be fit for a game against the Eagles, does it?
