Officers from the Greensboro Police Department's Homicide Unit arrested 29-year-old Travis Jamar Greene and charged him with first-degree murder.

According to Greensboro police, an arrest was made in connection with a murder in 2023. Officers from the Greensboro Police Department's Homicide Unit arrested 29-year-old Travis Jamar Greene and charged him with first-degree murder. On March 1, 2023, officers responded near the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Carolyn Coleman Way in reference to an aggravated assault. When they arrived, they found one person, 37-year-old Lanceford Ross Williams, suffering from a gunshot wound. He later died from his injuries. Greene was originally charged on March 1, 2023, with accessory after the fact to murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He has been incarcerated in the Guilford County Jail ever since.
