Former WWE Champion Batista shares the “best advice” Triple H gave him

Former WWE Champion Batista has shared some valuable advice that Triple H once gave him.

After years of on-screen friendship and rivalry, Batista opened up about a valuable piece of advice that his friend and “mentor” Triple once gave him. The two have been linked since their early days in Evolution alongside Randy Orton and Ric Flair.

The Dune actor has a rich history, winning his first World Championship with Triple H and even having his last match against The Game at WrestleMania 35. Recently, Batista shared Triple H's words of wisdom during an interview with The School of Hark Knocks .

I had a mentor named Triple H and there were a few things he said to me that always stuck with me. One of the things was that when I first got there I was so scared… I didn't want to upset people. It was a hierarchy thing and I was very afraid of being disrespectful or upsetting someone. One day he said, “Look, man, do you want to make money or make friends?”

This is a business. You have to look at it like a business. “You are a company.” I have always viewed myself as my own commodity. I am my brand. Another thing he said: “Always imagine that everyone is pointing a gun at your head. It’s up to you how many bullets you give them.”

When asked to think of himself as a business instead of making friends, The Animal took the advice seriously and was one of the biggest names in wrestling before moving to Hollywood.

His current film “The Killer's Game” is currently in cinemas and also stars Drew McIntyre.

Batista once explained why he left WWE to go to Hollywood

Batista recently spoke to BuzzFeed Celeb about why he left the wrestling business to go to Hollywood.

I hope I'll still be in WWE. Because I really loved it. It wasn't that I ever didn't want to be a part of that universe because I love the WWE Universe. It just so happened that I became so passionate about acting and I still pursue it with everything I have, but I still love that world.”

The former world champion, a big name in the industry, is still interested in returning to the Stamford-based promotion and expressed his love for the wrestling industry.

In other news, WWE NXT has been listed as TV-14 ahead of its premiere on the CW Network.
