“Large amount” of drugs and money found during traffic stop in Harrodsburg

HARRODSBURG, Ky. (FOX 56) – Police say a man has been charged and more arrests may be pending after a large amount of drugs and money were found during a traffic stop in Harrodsburg in the early hours of Sunday.

The Harrodsburg Police Department (HPD) posted on Facebook that officers conducted a traffic stop Saturday evening for a suspected equipment violation.

A Lexington woman was killed after she was struck by a vehicle on Winchester Road, the coroner said

During the check, officers found a “large amount of suspected methamphetamine” and cash, according to police.

The driver of the stopped vehicle was William Taylor, 43, who was arrested and charged:

Taylor was booked into the Boyle County Detention Center shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday.

Police said in a news release that additional arrests may be pending in connection with the ongoing investigation.
