Man arrested in fatal knife attack on 20-year-old

The stabbing attack occurred Sunday morning near the intersection of South Lipan Street and West Evans Avenue.

DENVER — A man has died after a stabbing attack Sunday, Denver police said.

According to police, a suspect, 39-year-old Patrick Browne, was arrested for investigation of first-degree murder and felony menacing in connection with the stabbing of a 20-year-old man.

On Sunday morning, DPD announced on X that it was investigating a stabbing near South Lipan Street and West Evans Avenue. The victim was taken to hospital. Browne was taken into custody at that time, police said.

As of 7:30 p.m. Sunday, the department said the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital and the case remains under investigation.

According to DPD, Browne and the victim were involved in an argument that escalated into the fatal stabbing. Police said the men did not know each other.
