Top 5 reasons to watch ONE Fight Night 25 live on October 4th

ONE Fight Night 25: Nicolas vs. Eersel II on Prime Video brings another exciting fight card to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

On Friday October 4th, the global fan base will witness a huge world championship fight, battles from potential top contenders and exciting rising stars, all looking to make a big impression.

Every fight has the potential to be a “Fight of the Night,” so there will be plenty to enjoy.

Here are the top five reasons to tune in when the US primetime action begins live.

#1 A rematch for the world title

The main event pits Alexis “Barboza” Nicolas and Regian “The Immortal” Eersel in a rematch for the ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title.

Nicolas shocked the division's once-dominant king with an early knockdown and fended off a late charge to secure the belt by decision in a fascinating five-round war in April.

Eersel showed his trademark tenacity and relentless pressure to make it close, but he still lost his gold and his ten-fight winning streak was snapped.

The second fight brings even more to the table. The undefeated “Barboza” wants to prove that his first victory over “The Immortal” was no fluke. Meanwhile, Eersel's main goal is to return to the top of the division he led for so long.

This should produce the hungriest, most determined versions of both men – and that's an enticing prospect for fight fans.

#2 John Lineker's second Muay Thai fight

After a knockout win in his Muay Thai debut at ONE 168: Denver, John “Hands of Stone” Lineker returns to the “Art of the Eight Limbs” in a bantamweight bout against Alexey Balyko.

The hard-hitting Brazilian stunned US fans with a dominant stoppage of veteran striker Asa “The American Ninja” Ten Pow, and he clearly has a penchant for throwing hands without the threat of a takedown.

However, Balyko is another test of endurance who has proven himself in the stand-up ranks.

The Russian has two knockouts in his three previous ONE wins, including a loss to three-division Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai world champion Suakim Sor Jor Tongprajin.

The two explosive brawlers always enter the ring with the intention of getting the job done as emphatically as possible, and if they start fighting each other to achieve this goal, all-out war will ensue.

#3 Undefeated phenom Johan Estupinan makes a quick turnaround

Another ONE 168 card winner will return to the game as Johan “Panda Kick” Estupinan looks to extend his undefeated record against Zakaria EI Jamari.

Estupinan enters this Muay Thai flyweight clash 3-0 in ONE and 25-0 overall, having recently defeated Sean Climaco in a fast-paced brawl in Denver.

The Colombian could make a big statement with his fourth win in a row, although it is his dynamic and inventive style that has endeared him to fans.

El Jamari knows the Panda Kicks star is rising fast, and he sees this as a great opportunity to steal momentum from his opponent with his heavy hands.

With crisp boxing and many other tools in his arsenal, the Moroccan has the skills to derail Estupinan's stunning run. But the Colombian will bring his diverse toolkit to Lumpinee Stadium to ensure that doesn't happen.

#4 The strawweights come to play

As the only major organization to showcase the best strawweights in the world, ONE is offering a slate of incredible fights in the division on October 4th.

In MMA, second-ranked MMA strawweight contender Bokang “Little Giant” Masunyane faces fifth-ranked Mansur Malachiev, while fourth-ranked Hiroba Minowa faces rising star Sanzhar “Tornado” Zakirov.

Masunyane has promised to give it his all until the finish to secure his next chance at gold in his division, but Malachiev will be looking to take his turn with a win over the outstanding South African.

Minowa has consistently faced the best of the best. But after three straight wins in the world's largest combat sports organization, Zakirov is 12-0 and can't wait to move up to the upper echelons of the strawweight division.

In the Muay Thai ranks, crowd favorite Thongpoon PK Saenchai will face off against the never-ending intensity of Rui Botelho, as both men are desperate to show that strawweights can wield tremendous power.

#5 Top Atomweights are ready to make some noise

Fans will also be treated to crucial action in the women's atomweight classes.

Ayaka “Zombie” Miura takes on Jihin “Shadow Cat” Radzuan in a match that pits two experienced grapplers against each other.

Miura is the epitome of a specialist with a proven track record of executing her signature move. Her Malaysian rival will have to use all her skills on the ground to stay out of trouble and turn the tables on the Japanese star.

In a contrasting bout, Amy Pirnie takes on Shir Cohen under Muay Thai rules, with both women looking to build on their explosive starts in ONE.

Pirnie knocked out rising Yu Yau Pui in her promotion debut, while Israel's Cohen looks to improve on the 2-0 foundation she has built on the international stage.
