Ithaca man arrested with 20 active warrants at Apple Fest | Ithaca

This past weekend, Ithaca police made an arrest at the Apple Harvest Festival after discovering a suspect with 20 active warrants.

On Friday, September 27, at approximately 1:24 p.m., an IPD officer recognized 39-year-old Jessiah B. Jones of Ithaca and advised that there were warrants for her arrest.

Jones was “noncompliant” and resisted arrest by attempting to elude, Ithaca police said. He was arrested and is currently awaiting arraignment in Ithaca Municipal Court.

Jones was accused of:

• Resisting arrest, a Class A misdemeanor.

• Fourth-degree criminal misrepresentation and reckless damage to another's property, a Class A misdemeanor.

• Open container, a violation of Ithaca city code.

In addition to the above charges, he was arrested on the following outstanding warrants:

• 13 warrants for trespassing.

• Five warrants for petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor.

• A warrant for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

• An arrest warrant for second-degree harassment.
