The video that supposedly shows Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai is actually from the Spanish festival

Vishvas News' investigation revealed that the viral video is from a festival in Spain and is incorrectly associated with the Ganpati festival in Mumbai.

The Facebook user shared the viral post with the caption, “Incredible scene in Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati…”. Mumbai.”

Investigation

We began our investigation by searching for the viral video via Google Lens and found frames of this video uploaded to many social media platforms and news websites. A frame of this video was found in a photo gallery on the Guardian website and uploaded on July 12, 2024. According to the details, the video is from the opening ceremony of the San Fermin Bulls Festival in Pamplona, ​​Spain, where the Pamplona Municipal Band performed.

As we continued our research, we found the full video of the same event on a YouTube channel called “San Fermines Pamplona”.

This video with a misleading claim about the Palestine-Israel conflict previously went viral. At the time, Spanish journalist David Fernandez confirmed that the video was from the opening ceremony of the Bulls Fight Ceremony in Spain.

We then conducted a social media scan of the Facebook user who shared the fake post and found that the user is from Andhra Pradesh.

Vishvas News investigated and found that the viral video was from a festival in Spain. It is being shared with a fake claim linking it to the Ganpati festival in Mumbai.
