Someone took home this awesome Bronco SEMA build and will also be getting Imagine Dragons goodies

This sale was customized by Galpin Auto Sports dealership for the 2023 SEMA Show and awarded by SEMA to the Tyler Robinson Foundation. This sale benefits a worthy cause as the 501(c)(3) organization fights the devastating effects of childhood cancer.

Although the Ford Bronco didn't quite live up to the hype, it is still one of the few body-on-frame SUVs offered in the US automotive market, along with the Toyota 4Runner and Jeep Wrangler. The latter remained America's most popular off-road engine for the first six months of the year SUV with just over 77,000 units, followed by the old Toyota 4Runner with nearly 67,000 deliveries and the Ford Bronco in third place with just over 50,000 units.

Still, that's not bad for a highly specialized vehicle. But how special can it be? Well, thanks to its heritage-inspired design, the customization options are almost endless. Let us give you an example here. Last year we wrote about the collaboration between SEMA and Galpin Auto Sports, which leveraged the popularity of the Bronco to create a one-off project that was shown at the 2023 edition of the legendary SEMA Show.

We also said at the time that the customized SUV would eventually be sold to the highest bidder to support a charity beloved by Grammy Award-winning music group Imagine Dragons – the Tyler Robinson Foundation. Now the deed is done – and the Las Vegas-based American pop-rock band also keeps its promise and gives the lucky auction winner a lot of additional goodies, including a signed Hero Firefly guitar, designed in the style of the international Symbols for Childhood Cancer as well as some VIP tickets for a backstage tour during an Imagine Dragons performance as part of the Loom Concert World Tour.

Now let’s get back to the Ford Bronco, shall we? This is a 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands four door that was purchased new and modified by Galpin Auto Sports of Van Nuys, California for the 2023 SEMA Show. While it may not be obvious – and one would rather assume this is a heritage-focused build – Imagine Dragons inspired the design as a tribute to their support of the Tyler Robinson Foundation.

The latter is a 501(c)(3) organization focused on helping families – both financially and emotionally – survive the tragedies of childhood cancer diagnoses. The Bronco has just 100 miles on it, and Bring a Trail has partnered with SEMA to arrange the no-reserve sale of the Badlands, which has a clean Nevada title in TRF's name. As for the technical specifications, the SUV has a 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 under the hood, mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. It also features electronic limited-slip differentials as well as the Sasquatch and Lux packages.

Meanwhile, the exterior is dressed in Eruption Green Metallic and features lots of gold accents – on the IAG grille, the removable roof panels and the 17-inch Fifteen52 aluminum wheels. There are numerous upgrades that make it a true off-road guru or overlanding rig too – Body Armor bumpers, Rigid and Oracle LED lighting, a Warn winch, Wilwood front disc brakes, Camburg suspension components and Bilstein Coilovers, Front Runner cargo accessories and much more many more. The resistance, of course, could be the Recon Recovery Kexaa roof tent.

Inside, there's also the SYNC 4 infotainment system, a terrain management system with GOAT modes, Katzkin leather seat upholstery, and a Rockford Fosgate audio system. By the way, the Recon Recovery Kexaa rooftop tent has an access ladder and an awning, plus there are plenty of portable camping accessories like Wolf Pack Pro cargo boxes, a pair of folding expander chairs, and a collapsible grill and fire pit. To top it off, there are also some Imagine Dragon Special Edition badges on the vehicle. Last but not least, Fifteen52's aftermarket wheels are fitted with huge 37-inch Toyo Open Country tires, there's a fifth wheel and tire combo on the tailgate and behind it, in the cargo area, there's also a Dometic CFX3 12- Volt refrigerator and freezer as well as a Front Runner refrigerator slide, fold-down tailgate table and cargo drawers.

Oh, and let's not forget the V6, which makes 330 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque from the factory, but was equipped during build with a Roush air intake system and a Magnaflow Overland series cat-back exhaust system for even more offer a few more ponies, breathe better and sound wonderful as they go on adventures with their happy new owner. Speaking of the latter, the winning bid was $108,000, with all proceeds going to the foundation, and we can say it was a bargain since the SUV plus all the accessories and construction labor was probably closer to $150,000! But of course the best news is that the Tyler Robinson Foundation now has additional funding to support its causes…
