The grand jury has indicted a man accused of attacking a band on stage in Ashtabula County

ASHTABULA COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – An Ashtabula grand jury has indicted a man who attacked a local band on stage last month.

Joshua Baitt was charged with vandalism and assault.

According to Ashtabula County sheriff's deputies, members of the band Kings of Revelry were on stage at Roaming Shores when Baitt stormed onto the stage.

“The crowd was great,” said band drummer Thomas Clark. “They were really into us, but everything came to a screeching halt when this psycho maniac just stormed on stage and took out my lead singer, Caleb Galt.”

However, although two band members were injured in the incident, the band and some people in the audience held the suspect, Joshua Baitt, until police arrived.(Ashtabula County Sheriff's Office)

But although two band members were injured in the incident, the band and some people in the audience held Baitt until deputies arrived.

Baitt was taken to the hospital, released and arrested the next day.

“He just came over all the equipment and he and I went back and ended up on the floor together with my guitar exploding between us,” Clark said. “We struggled with him for a long time. I don’t think there was any security there – no police or anything like that.”

A GoFundMe has been set up by friends of the band Kings of Revelry to help replace broken instruments and equipment.
