Vijay Deverakonda's next 'VD 14' was recently announced on the actor's birthday. This historical action drama under the blockbuster banner of Mythri Movie Makers is all set to explore an era of culture and turmoil. After the blockbuster Taxiwala, Vijay is all set to work with Rahul Sankrityan.

The team behind this historical action drama has completed the pre-production work. The film will be released in October or November. The film will be shot in Hyderabad, Kurnool, Anantapur and YSR district in Andhra Pradesh.

The film is set in colonial India and deals with a point that no Indian film has touched on before. The film is not directed against a freedom struggle. It will show authentic Rayalaseema emotions. Vijay Deverakonda's look will stun the audience. Needing a solid hit, Vijay Deverakonda is working on his next film directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and the film is an action drama.

Vijay Deverakonda has set several dates for the film and it will be presented in a new light. Rumors suggest that Rashmika Mandanna has been roped in as the lead actress and an official confirmation is awaited.

Rahul Sankrityan worked on the script for two years and this is Vijay Deverakonda and Rahul's second collaboration after Taxiwaala. Vijay Deverakonda also agreed to a rural entertainer which will be directed by Ravi Kiran Kola and Dil Raju is the producer of this untitled film. Filming begins next year.
