Killeen ISD administrator faces marijuana possession charges

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) – Jennifer Washington, the executive director of administrative services for the Killeen Independent School District (KISD), is on administrative leave following her arrest for marijuana possession, the school district confirmed to KWTX.

According to Temple Police, officers were in the area of ​​I-35 and Exit 299 around 11:10 p.m. on September 21 when a vehicle with a broken driver's side headlight drove past them.

The officers initiated a traffic stop and approached the vehicle.

Officers identified the driver of the vehicle as Washington and noticed a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle.

The police officers asked everyone in the vehicle to get out and then searched the vehicle.

They found 1.9 grams of marijuana in the vehicle and arrested Washington without incident.
