2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony Performances Announced, OZZY OSBOURNE Appearance Rumored But Unconfirmed

As rock fans continue to debate the relevance and meaning of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the show must go on: The 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on October 19 at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. Loudwire announced the big performances at this year's ceremony, and there are some really interesting ones to look out for.

The big news this year is the all-star celebration of arena rockers Foreigner, who will be inducted this year with Slash and Sammy Hagar as pop singers Demi Lovatoand drummer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers Chad Smith plans to perform in honor of the British rock group. Foreigner will also be performing, but wouldn't you rather see all these people playing Foreigner songs than Foreigner himself?

The Who's Roger Daltrey and country superstar (and recently outed closet metalhead) Keith Urban will do a tribute to him Peter Frampton. Dua Lipa is honored CherAnd James Taylor will collaborate with country artists Kenny Chesney And Mac McAnally for one Jimmy Buffett Tribute.

One of the biggest questions surrounding this year's ceremony will be whether Ozzy Osbourne, who is entering the hall for the second time after being inducted as a member of Black Sabbath in 2006, will perform at the ceremony. A few days ago the Scottish tabloid Daily record reported that he would be performing at the ceremony, but Loudwire seems to indicate that this is still uncertain. There is no official confirmation that Osbourne will appear.

Osbourne has expressed a desire to perform in recent months, but whether he is capable of doing so is another question entirely. Back in March, Osbourne was asked if he wanted to perform again, and while he said he wanted to, he also admitted to having trouble getting up. It would be great to see Osbourne perform again, but I would also hate to see him try too hard.

The induction ceremony is scheduled to stream live on Disney+ on October 19 at 7:00 p.m. EDT and will be available on-demand afterwards. A highlights presentation will air on ABC on New Year's Day.
