Tyson Foods is partnering with HEB and NextUp to fight hunger in North Texas


DALLAS, Texas – Tyson Foods, HEB and NextUp are teaming up to donate 40,000 pounds of protein to the North Texas Food Bank in honor of Hunger Action Month.

The North Texas Food Bank distributes more than 93 million pounds of food to people experiencing food insecurity in 13 counties.

“We are so grateful for the support of companies like Tyson Foods, HEB and NextUp Texas who recognize the growing problem of hunger and are looking for ways to help organizations address this complex problem,” said Stacy Stephenson, Director of Food Sourcing at North Texas Food Bank. “Your generosity will help advance our mission to close the hunger gap in North Texas during this critical time and beyond.”

“HEB is proud to partner with Tyson Foods and the North Texas Food Bank on this donation that will provide families with much-needed protein. The HEB Hunger Relief Program has donated more than a billion pounds of food to nonprofits in Texas and Mexico, and this donation further demonstrates the importance of working together to combat hunger in our communities,” said Danny Flores, HEB Hunger Relief Public Affairs Manager.

Donations will be made on Thursday, September 26th at 3:00 p.m. at the North Texas Food Bank.
