A family road trip took an adorable turn when a bear gave a friendly wave to passing passengers, and of course the moment was captured on camera.

The video shared by an Instagram user shows the bear standing near the road and waving at the car – as if it was being filmed in its entirety. The clip has since gone viral as it charmed social media users with the bear's unexpectedly adorable gesture.

Social media users couldn't resist sharing their thoughts in the comments section. “The bear says, 'Hey Boo Boo, how about a picnic basket?'” one user said, referencing the classic cartoon Yogi Bear.
