2 girls arrested after caller reports possible fight at Ogema Park – Detroit Lakes Tribune

  • 00:24: A caller reported cows on the road at the intersection of County Highway 39 and 180th Street, Frazee.
  • 10:11 a.m.: A disturbance occurred at a residence on 400th Avenue in Frazee when a 69-year-old Frazee man was holding a knife because he was upset about not having access to his weapons. The man, who suffered from dementia, dropped the knife and was taken to the emergency room.
  • 11:29 a.m.: A caller from Lake Park reported fraud when a coin purchased on eBay turned out to be a counterfeit.
  • 12:33 p.m.: A caller from Ogema reported a scam involving Publishers Clearing House. The caller did not provide any personal information.
  • 7:30 p.m.: A caller reported a group of five youths who appeared to be about to argue in an Ogema park. No injuries were reported, but two girls were arrested on suspicion of obstruction of legal proceedings and disorderly conduct. The girls were taken to Moorhead Juvenile Detention Center.
  • 10:36 a.m.: A caller reported suspicious activity when items were found at the end of a road along Navillus Forest Road in Osage. The owners of the items were identified based on a photo of a small boy in the items.
  • 11:26 a.m.: A caller reported that a gas line had been damaged and gas was leaking. The line was crimped within two minutes and Minnesota Energy solved the problem.
  • 5 p.m.: A caller reported that her 3-year-old boy had gone missing from East Munson Drive in Detroit Lakes. The boy had gone to a neighbor's house and was brought home ten minutes later.
  • 10:51 p.m.: A caller reported a 15-year-old Lake Park girl ran away from the home. The girl came a block away before being taken home.
  • 1:33 am: A 15-year-old boy from Ogema reported that his 55-year-old father threatened him in a residential building in Ogema.
  • 3:37 am: A caller reported suspicious activity when a vehicle was seen on the side of the road on Maple Hills Drive. The driver had stopped and was sleeping in the back seat.
  • 4:10 p.m.: An 18-year-old Lake Park woman reported being harassed by a 20-year-old Lake Park woman at a residence on Second Street in Lake Park. The caller stated that she and the other woman lived together and that some of her belongings were missing.
  • 4:44 p.m.: A grass fire was reported along US Highway 10 in Detroit Lakes. A pontoon trailer came loose and caused the fire. The Detroit Lakes Fire Department and DNR Fire-DL extinguished the fire.
  • 6:48 p.m.: A 36-year-old Detroit Lakes man reported that a 36-year-old Detroit Lakes woman stole his dog from a home on Johnson Trail in Detroit Lakes. The woman had previously entered the property without permission.
  • 6:54 p.m.: A 32-year-old woman, whose location is unclear, reported a 33-year-old man from Frazee entering a home on US Highway 10 in Frazee. The man was trying to collect items that belonged to a deceased family member. The two were told it was a civil matter and the man was told not to return.
  • 10:57 p.m.: An assault was reported at a residence on Thorson Lane in Rochert. A 57-year-old Rochert man was arrested on suspicion of punching a 44-year-old Rochert woman in the face during an argument. The woman lost a tooth due to a blow.
  • 2:54 am: A caller at a residence on Brolin Beach Road in Detroit Lakes reported a break-in when he heard scraping metal outside. Police checked the property and found nothing.
  • 7:08 a.m.: A caller to a residence in Sugar Bush Heights, Ogema reported someone trespassing on his property. The caller initially thought it was an animal, but then noticed a person walking on the street near their home.
  • 5:45 p.m.: A 60-year-old woman from Ogema reported disorderly behavior when her 38-year-old daughter from Mahnomen came to her home very drunk. The daughter was taken to a family member's home.
  • 6:01 p.m.: A caller at a residence on Eagle Street in Audubon reported suspicious activity in a nearby storage unit.
