Apple M4 MacBook Pro: What to expect

In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the tipster points out that the M4-powered MacBook Pro model may have one 14 inch screen and can contain 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Previous rumors also suggested that all M4 Mac models will come with at least 16GB of RAM. The leaked packaging appears to be consistent with the older leaks.
Additionally, the box also claims that the base model M4 MacBook Pro will feature a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, which has also been suggested in previous reports. The existing M3 chip has an 8-core CPU and a 10-core GPU.
Aside from that, the packaging also promises that the upcoming model will have three Thunderbolt 4 portsunlike the existing M3-powered MacBook Pro. It's important to note that the current base model MacBook Pro only has two Thunderbolt ports.
One of the lines on the box also appears to say “SPB/10C CPU/10C GPU/16GB/512GB” which lists the specs. This suggests that Apple may be changing the MacBook Pro's base color options.
Instead of the usual Space Gray, Space Black appears to be the new default, as evidenced by the abbreviation “SPB” on the packaging. This suggests that silver models will continue to be marked “SLV”. For those who prefer a darker shade, it's a subtle but potentially significant change.
One of the users who saw the post also noticed a QR code on the box that encourages users to learn more about the MacBook. This is a practice Apple recently introduced with the iPhone 16 range, suggesting possible changes to how product information is presented.
However, the box still mentions “Apple ID,” which points to some inconsistencies as Apple gradually moves to using “Apple Account” across its ecosystem.
