Rich Homie Quan releases posthumous music video “Song Cry.”

Rich Homie Quan's memory will live on through his music, and on Monday (September 30), fans were treated to a brand new posthumous visual for his track “Song Cry.” The Marcell B-directed clip features emotional footage from his memorial service as well as guest appearances from friends like Boosie Badazz and DC Young Fly.

Highlights from the Atlanta rapper's life and career are featured throughout the video, including scenes of him recording hits in the studio, rocking audiences at his shows, driving around in luxury cars and more.

“I had to put my sunglasses on to hide these tears/And I don't do an ounce 'cause that's how men get killed/Let me roll my weed so I can fake my feelings/This lifestyle I live, real, I “You can do that “Don’t fake it here,” Quan raps in the song’s vulnerable chorus. “That's a song scream/I know you hear that shit/Listen to the song scream/You gotta feel that shit.” In his verse, he talks about how his buddy died, that he's in a “difficult situation” in Canada “Situation” and other feelings that are weighing on him.

The “Type Of Way” rapper's life was celebrated at a going-home ceremony on September 17 in South Fulton, Georgia. The agenda featured heartwarming initiatives, including the Atlanta City Council's declaration of September 17th as Rich Homie Quan Memorial Day, as well as speeches from the likes of Killer Mike, DC Young Fly, Stephen Jackson and more.

Rich Homie Quan died on September 5th at the age of 33. The popular rapper was best known for his hit singles “Type A Way,” “Flex,” and “Lifestyle” with Young Thug. He received an award nomination from iHeartRadio and BET, as well as four BET Hip-Hop Awards nominations.
