A 22-year-old woman was killed in a head-on crash in Woodville on Sunday morning, according to the FHP

WOODVILLE, Fla. (WCTV) – A 22-year-old woman was killed and a 21-year-old man suffered serious injuries in a two-car collision Sunday morning, according to a Florida Highway Patrol spokesman.

The accident occurred near the intersection of Old Woodville Road and Woodville Highway, FHP reports.

According to authorities, the 21-year-old's SUV was traveling south and crossed the median into oncoming traffic for unknown reasons. The SUV then crashed into the 22-year-old's oncoming sedan.

The woman died from her injuries and the man was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

FHP says this crash is currently under investigation.
