Bloomington man dies in crash early Saturday morning in Tazewell County

TAZEWELL COUNTY (25News Now) – A 41-year-old Bloomington man is dead after a car accident in rural Tazewell County.

Coroner Charlie Hanley said his office was called to the 21000 block of Townline Road in rural Tremont around 3:45 a.m. Saturday.

Hanley said the victim, 41-year-old Jeffrey Flaugher II, was the only person in the vehicle, which appeared to have left the roadway and crashed into a field.

An autopsy was conducted Monday and results showed Flaugher died as a result of multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the accident.

The Tazewell County Sheriff and the Tazewell County Coroner's Office are investigating the crash.
