Woman attacked while walking on Ben Franklin Parkway, police say – NBC10 Philadelphia

Police in Philadelphia are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who officers say attacked a woman walking along Ben Franklin Parkway on a Sunday morning.

According to police, the incident occurred around 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, September 15, when two women were walking along the 2000 block of Ben Franklin Parkway.

Police have released a video online of the person believed to be involved in this incident.

At that point, police say the women were approached by a man who attacked one of the women and began punching her in the face and body. When a second woman who was with the victim tried to intervene, officers said the man pushed her to the ground.

Police officials said the alleged attack ended when a good Samaritan intervened and the attacker fled down 20th Street toward Race Street.

Police described the suspect in this incident as a male, approximately 6 feet tall and slim, wearing sunglasses, a black tank top, black pants, tan shoes, and carrying a black backpack and green bag at the time of the incident.
