Zach Charbonnet shows elusiveness in defeating Dolphins in Week 3

Second-year defensive lineman Zach Charbonnet started a second straight game in place of the injured Kenneth Walker III and had the best game of his young NFL career. He played a big role in Sunday's 24-3 win over the Miami Dolphins.

Charbonnet rushed for a career-best 91 yards on 18 carries and scored two touchdowns, a 4-yard score in the first quarter and a 10-yarder in the fourth quarter to cap a game-winning 98-yard drive started ice cream. Charbonnet also added 16 yards on three receptions.

And Charbonnet showed how elusive he is en route to the best numbers of his career. Walker is typically viewed as Seattle's more skilled back, while Charbonnet is known for his power. He has shown the ability to make defenders miss in space or use a well-placed stiff arm or dropped shoulder to gain extra distance. According to NFL Next Gen Stats, Charbonnet used his versatile skillset to force eight missed tackles on 21 touches on Sunday. These missed tackles helped Charbonnet gain 16 rushing yards above expectations, surpassing his total of six missed tackles he had forced in his first two games along with 29 touches.
