Leaked Google Pixel 9A renders show a visor-free look

Google's first leak of the fall is here, with new renders of the upcoming Pixel 9A released online for the world to see. Like the Pixel 8A leak earlier this year Android Headlines has once again received images of Google's next budget A-series release, this time in the mail OnLeakswhich was responsible for spoiling the current Pixel 9 series.

According to the leak, the big change to the Pixel 9A is that the camera housing will no longer have Google's now signature visor design. Instead, it looks like there are two cameras in a pill-shaped module that sits almost flush with the back of the phone. There's a camera flash on the right side, making it look like the back of an iPhone 7 Plus, but enlarged. The rest of the body is similar to other Pixel 9 devices – and recent iPhones – with thin-looking bezels around the screen.

Android Headlines points out that the 9A may ship with Android 15 and could be the last Google device to feature a Samsung-based Tensor chip, with Google moving to using TSMC for future processors in 2025. Google typically launches its A-series phones in the spring, usually during Google I/O, so it may be a while before we get all the details.
