Who will win on Monday Night Football?

The Detroit Lions have lost early home games to the Seattle Seahawks in two straight seasons, and Dan Campbell's team has lost to the Hawks three straight seasons overall.

But out is cheerful Pete Carroll for Seattle and in is former Michigan defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald as head coach for a Monday Night Football showdown (8:15 p.m., ABC, ESPN+) to conclude Week 4 of the 2024 NFL season .

The Seahawks have had the same number as the Lions recently, winning by a combined score of 136-105 in each of the last three seasons, but I think this game will be different. Under old coach Pete Carroll, the Lions struggled with Seattle's rushing attack, but under Macdonald the scheme has changed and the Lions are playing defense as well as anyone in the NFL right now.
