George Clooney is selling his longtime LA home to Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo for $14.5 million

It's the end of an era for George Clooney. The Wolves According to TMZ, the star has parted ways with the English-style property in Los Angeles that he has maintained for about three decades. The publication reports that the three-acre property was taken over by newlyweds Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo. The NFL star and model paid $14.5 million for the property, which is located in LA's Studio City neighborhood. Clooney bought the spot in 1995 for $2.2 million from folk rock icon Stevie Nicks.

The Oscar winner recalled his purchase of the 7,354-square-foot home in a 2012 segment on the CBS show From person to person. “I was in the second season of HE I live in a small house and thought maybe it's time to take a slightly larger house off the street so I don't fall prey to every photographer,” Clooney said. “For me, it was a sign that I had succeeded in being able to buy a home.” In the years that followed, the actor invested millions in expanding and renovating the six-bedroom, six-bathroom home.

CBS' cameras also provided a glimpse inside the two-story home, revealing a movie theater with a popcorn machine, multiple bars, a basketball court, and an outdoor dining room with a temperature-controlled wine wall as some of its highlight-list of amenities. Hardwood floors, stone fireplaces and coffered ceilings were also featured. In 2018, she told fashion that the former bachelor pad, where Clooney once hosted legendary dinner parties, had been transformed into a more “low-key” family home.

McCaffrey and Culpo married in June. The sale of their new marital home closed on Sept. 23, according to public records. According to TMZ, the tree-lined property includes the main house as well as several guest houses, a tennis court and a pool. The Clooneys have an international real estate portfolio with homes in England, Italy, France and New York City.
